Room for rent in Badalona, Cataluña

About the apartment:

This is a very cozy and spacious apartment, very suitable for 3 people. It has natural light and lots of plants. It also has a patio and a balcony plenty of plants. In the patio there's a lemon tree, a strawberry plant and some aromatic herbs that can be consumed by the tenants of the apartment.
The materials used in the furniture and the decoration with natural elements have been chosen to promote harmony and well-being at home.
The apartment has one bathroom and one toilet, which are shared.
The building has only 3 apartments and it has an elevator.

About the bedroom:

The bedroom is located at the back of the property and it looks out onto a patio full of plants, so it is ideal for resting, as there isn't any street from that side, so there is not noise from cars.

The bedroom has any furniture needed: an extra-size double bed, a double closet, 2 nightstands, a big chest of drawers, a mirror, a desk located in front of a wall with 2 plugs, a chair and a laundry basket. Eventually, the desk and the chair could be moved to the working/study room, which is shared with the other tenants and which has space for 3 people. Nevertheless, the better place to locate them is in the bedroom just in front of the window (as shown at the pictures), in order to have more privacy and also because in the working/study room there are no plugs on the free wall.
The window of the bedroom has a insect screen to prevent mosquitoes from entering from the patio.

The study/working room is a common area equipped that looks out onto the patio too. This is a very pleasant and quiet place to study or work.

About the neighborhood:

The apartment is located in the center of Sant Adrià de Besòs and it is very close to all kind of services (post office, pharmacy, several supermarkets, fruit shops, bakeries, a gym, a municipal market, the public library, the Town Hall, the public health center and the police office). In addition, on the last Saturday of every month there is a farmers market in which you can find their organic products, right in front of the apartment.
Very close to my apartment there is a pedestrian street full of terraces where you can eat the daily menu or tapas. It is a very lively neighborhood.
And a 2-minutes walk from my apartment there is the Besòs River Park, where you can go for a walk, to jog or to have a picnic.

About the transport:

My neighborhood is very well connected with various types of transportation that take you to several neighborhoods in Barcelona:

- metro: purple line L2 (Artigues/Sant Adrià stop)
- tram: T4 and T5
- train: RENFE R1 and RG1
- bus: B14, B20, B21, B23, M26, M30 and H10
- night buses: N2 and N6
- bike: AMBici

About the current tenants living in the apartment:

At present, there are 2 tenants living in the apartment:

1) a 28-years-old guy from France, who works as a software developer. He speaks French, English and Spanish. He likes playing ocarina flute, listening to calm and instrumental music and playing video-games. He’s a very creative person.

2) a 22-years-old student from Cayman Islands, who is pursuing a Master's in International Business. He speaks English and he likes reading, hiking, cooking and learning about local culture. He’s quite an extroverted person.

Both tenants are very respectful and polite. They keep the apartment clean and well organised and they like to keep a calm atmosphere in the apartment. They usually have their social life out the apartment and don't usually bring people. Very occasionally they could receive a visit of a relative, but in the daily life they don't bring people at home in order to respect the calm ambience required for studing.

About the tenant I am looking for:

I am looking for a respectful person who can take care of the things in the apartment, who can keep the common areas clean after use, be careful not to scratch furniture or floor surfaces and respect the calm atmosphere that characterizes this property.

To be able to communicate with current tenants, having knowledge of English language is needed.

It is also important that the incoming tenant can respect some coexistance rules, in order to assure a harmonious coexistence between the people who live in the apartment:

- the common areas must be kept clean after use, so that the other tenants who live in the apartment can also find them clean.
- eating in the bedroom, on the sofa or on the hammocks located the living room is not allowed to avoid stains on the upholstery or on the furniture.
- the 3 people who live in the apartment must collaborate in the cleaning tasks, once a week. In present, every week each tenant has some concrete cleaning tasks to do which are rotatory (as shown in one of the pictures).
- shoes worn outside must be put away in a shoe rack upon entering the apartment, as slippers or socks can be worn in the apartment (the entire floor of the apartment is parquet, except in the kitchen, the bathroom and the toilet, which is tiled).
- in order to respect the sleep of all the tenants, silence is required from 11:00 p.m. onwards.
- due to the drought situation that Catalonia is experiencing, the Catalan government has imposed some restrictions on the use of water on the inhabitants, which implies having showers of no more than 5 minutes duration.
- it is advisable to make responsible use of electricity (example: turning off the lights if they are not being used).
- smoking or consuming drugs is not allowed in any area of the property, both inside or outside.

About the rental price:

The rental costs 700 € per month + shared expenses (water, electricity, wi-fi and gas). The cost of the toilet paper, hands soap, dishwasher tablets, dish soap and garbage bags is divided between all the tenants, using Triccount app.
I also ask for a deposit equivalent to 1 month's rent in advance, which will pay the last month of your stay here, and a deposit of 600 € in case the tenant causes any damage to the apartment or to the furniture or the objects in the apartment. If no damage is caused, this amount will be returned at the end of the stay.

I hope you have a very good stay at my home!! :)

(I speak Spanish, Catalan, English and French).
